"Carly tell these men to get the hell away from me." Jason yelled from outside the brownstone.
"What the hell do you want?" Carly screamed as she threw the door open.
"Let me in. Let's talk about this. How did you get out? Why did you take Michael and come here?" Jason begged for answers.
"Well let's see where should we start, My family got me out. My family and Michael's family, Michaels real family, While you were dancing at the ball with your precious Robin MY FAMILY got me out." Carly yelled with all the anger she had built up in her from the weeks in that hideous institution. "I took Michael because he is MY son not yours. And I came here because the only person in this world who actually gives a damn about me lives here. Any other questions?"
"What is your problem?" Jason asked her "I have done what you said I took care of Michael and I didn't say anything about him being A.J.'s."
"No one? Are you sure? What about your precious Robin? You told her."
"You knew she new before you were committed." Carly what the Hell is going on." Jason started to raise his voice and as he did he noticed two large men step toward him. He settled himself, and continued, "Carly you are my best friend. I can't fix what is wrong between us if you won't talk to me. I mean really talk to me."
"What is there to say Jason, I trusted you. You said you would get me out but you didn't. You left me there for weeks." She began to cry, but continued on "Bobbie said today she has given up on you trying to get me out and would handle it herself. And you know what? In a matter of a few short hours here I am."
Maliki watched the scene with amusement. "Poor guy." he thought "If only she knew it was her father, not her mother who insured her release and he had been planning this since the day he heard she had been committed. Not to mention he had all the Cassadine power and money backing him."
"I don't know how she pulled it off Carly, I swear I have been trying to bribe every judge in town. Look at me. You look at me and you will know I am not lying to you. I do not know how she did it. But I am glad she did." Jason's eyes told her it was true.
"Oh Jas I was so scared. I thought you forgot about me. I thought you gave up." She cried as she flew into his arms.
"You are my best and brightest friend. You are Michael's mother I would never give up on you. Michael belongs with you." He said in her ear.
"You know I have done a lot of thinking while I was in Ferncliff, I can't go back to the cottage with you." He pulled away from her and looked into her eyes. "It won't work and I can't pretend it will. And neither can you. I can't stand the thought of Robin much less the sight of her, and her feelings for me are mutual." Carly continued before Jason could interrupt. "I am staying here Bobbie promised she would take care of us. I will not cut you out of Michael's life, but it is my turn. I need him more than you do and he needs me."
"There has to be a way to work this out. Carly Michael needs both of us." Jason quickly replied.
"I don't see how he can have us both." She added.
"Well than Bobbie may be in for quit a shock because I am not leaving here until we figure it out." Jason stated.
"What are you planning on doing? Moving in? Cause I am not moving out." Carly pressed.
"If that's what it takes. Heck between the flats upstairs and the ground floor apartments there is plenty of room." He smiled.
"Jason, you can't just decide to move into Bobbie's because you want to. She does have a say so you know. It is her house."
"If you and Michael stay I stay. I will just wait here with you until Bobbie gets home and talk to her about it." Jason said. "Where is Michael? Did you put him to sleep already?"
"Yes I rocked him to sleep when we got here. I think he is down for the night."
"Than it looks like it's just you and me. Does Bobbie have any popcorn? What do you say movie or some catching up?" Jason said as he walked into the kitchen to look for the popcorn.
"Catching up definitely. I want to know all about the silly things Michael did and learned while I was away." Carly shouted so Jason could here her in the kitchen.
______________
Stefan stood on the makeshift stage still in shock. "Stavros?"
Luke Plunged at him ready to rip him to shreds but was stopped by several large men. Laura looked like a child whose hand had been caught in the cookie jar, While Nicholas and Alexis were frozen in place. Helena on the other hand beamed with joy. She walked up to her eldest son and tried to embrace him. But Stavros glared at her as if her touch were poison. "Don't even think about it mother. Not now, not ever."
"But Stavros." She started to say and was interrupted.
"Enough I will not listen to the lies that spew from your mouth. You had me drugged and nearly catatonic for over 16 years. So you could claim the family. I sat in a small room helpless unable to speak or move while you attacked those I loved." He said in a calm voice. A voice Helena Knew was to calm. "Your rein of terror is over mother. I have ceased all your power and assets." He looked at Stefan "As well as ALL Cassadine holdings. Everything that was mine by right of birth has been returned to me."
Stefan was almost speechless, almost, "Stavros what" He to was interrupted.
"No, Not a word from you either BROTHER." Stavros continued. "Tonight all truths will be told I will no longer wear the mark of shame you all have tried to pin on me. Tonight I will right the wrong that has been done. People will be hurt, and lives will be changed but the truth WILL be told."
"This does not need to be done in such a public setting Stavros." Stefan challenged.
"It will be done here and now. I have nothing to hide from the fine people in Port Charles. Do You?" Stavros challenged back. Stefan said nothing as all of his guests watched on with interest, ready and willing to hear the Cassadine's dirty laundry aired.
"Where shall we begin?" Stavros spun around and looked at Alexis his first and easiest target. "How about with you Alexis or should I say Natasha?"
"Natasha?" Alexis questioned
"Yes, Natasha. Your birth name, the name my father gave his daughter. Isn't that right mother? Stavros glared at Helena. You were born Natasha Bergis Cassadine. Your mother was Kristen Bergis. My father was madly in love with your mother, and she loved him madly in return. That is until the day my mother decided to show her what happens to a woman who dares to try and take what she has already claimed."
All it took was that one simple phrase from Stavros and all of Alexis' memories came back to her. Memories she had buried so deep within her, it was like they were just dreams something she made up something that never really happened. But they did happen and things she forgot were swimming through her head as if it were yesterday. "She slit her throat. I watched her slit my mothers' throat." She wailed. Almost unable to breath she wasn't sure how she was even standing at this point and as her legs started to go from underneath her Ned appeared there to catch her. "She killed her she whispered. Helena killed her. There was so much blood. All the blood. And then she was gone. And I was on the Cassadine island. Oh my god, how? How could I not remember?"
Ned whispered into her ear, "It's ok, I won't let you fall Alexis, it was a long time ago."
"He is right Alexis." Stavros added "You were so young, forgetting is the only thing that got you through it. But I protected you first. Not Stefan, I protected you as long as I could. Father brought you to the island and I protected you. And I was but a child myself. I did the best I could for years. It wasn't until we were almost grown and father went completely insane that I turned the job of protecting you over to Stefan. You now remember everything else. You must remember that as well." Stavros stared at her. "You are willing to call me a monster when I gave up my own childhood to insure you of yours."
Alexis looked in his eyes and new no remembered the words he spoke were true. "I am sorry. I didn't remember I didn't understand."
"But I do. And that is why you will not be amongst those I consider disloyal to me. I have grown up protecting you that will never change mon tout-petit, my little one." And with that being said he searched for his next victim.
Stavros glared at Luke. "By all rights you should be next, but you are not, and by the time I am finished I doubt you will even care about our families vendetta." And as quick as a panther lunging on his pray Stavros Shouted. "Lasha."
"Leave her the hell alone you bastered." Luke tried to break through the guards protecting Stavros but was not successful.
"Oh Spencer, ever the protector. I have a feeling that will all change after I have my say." Stavros grinned wickedly. He faced Laura again. "Tell me Lasha where do we begin? Our marriage perhaps? Well if you could call it a marriage that is, considering it was NEVER consummated now was it." Stavros paused in order to let it all sink in. Luke took one look at his wife's face and new in an instant Stavros was telling the truth. Now it was Nicholas' turn to feel his legs weaken.
Stefan yelled, "Liar, You Liar. I saw the bruises you left on her all over her."
"You are such a fool brother. Those bruises were not from me. I never laid a hand on her. Not in passion or anger NEVER." Stavros yelled back with such force it echoed throughout the ballroom. He once again looked at Laura "You tell them. Tell them all where you received the bruises from."
"Stavros please, I am begging you do not do this." She sobbed.
"Tell Stefan, whose hands touched you, tell him who besides him you gave yourself to while you were on that island." He taunted them all. "Tell your husband who you turned to when I rejected you. When I said to you my soul belonged to another. Who besides Stefan did you turn to?"
"No I won't do this." Laura said
And in an instant like Luke just moments before Stefan looked at Laura and new. His stomach started to freefall. And he said in an icy voice. "Tell me Lasha, If not my brother than whom? Whose bed were you warming besides mine?"
"That is none of your damn business." She screamed.
"How about me? Is it my business" Luke asked hatefully.
Laura just looked at him her eyes begging for forgiveness. But Luke turned away as if the mere sight of her burned him.
"Fine if you do not want to tell we will just start shouting off names you stop us when we hit the target." Stavros taunted "Victor"
"No I never." Laura said starting to find it hard to breath.
"Tony" Stavros continued
"Tony wasn't even on the island. Don't do this Stavros." She pleaded
"While we all know by now I never touched you and Stefan did. So who else does that leave?"
The room was silent but everyone was thinking the same thing. Bobbie who suddenly became very interested and concerned not only for her brother and her sister-in-law stepped to the front of the crowed and slipped her hand in Nicholas' and whispered to him. "You do not need to hear this. Please come with me. We can go away anywhere but here."
"No, I have to know the truth. It is my life that it affects the most. Please don't leave me though. Stay with me." Nicholas responded to her.
Stavros watched the exchange. He saw her nod at Nicholas before she lifted her head in his direction. She looked directly into his eyes and without hesitation he softened. But only to her. She noticed the change, she tilted her head to the side as a vague recognition started to creep up inside her she pushed it back down, and looked away. Not knowing if her brain could actually handle the truth her heart already knew about the man standing in front of her.
As she looked away Stavros snapped "Mikkos"
Laura's eyes flashed with hatred. "Leave me alone."
Now it was Helena's turn to lunge, but she two was held back. She knew she looked at Laura and at Stavros and she new. "NO. I will not have it. Not my Mikkos." She said coldly.
Luke was depleted he looked at Laura and new as well. There was no fight left in him. He just stared into space. Finished.
Stefan felt the anger boil inside of him he felt as wild as the storm that had begun to pound on Spoon Island. Katherine stared at him. "Tell me. Tell me the truth Stefan. Is what your brother said true? Did you share your brothers wife with your father?"
"I did not know." He said loud enough for everyone to hear. "She said the bruises were from Stavros. You said the bruises were from Stavros." He said to Laura pleading with his eyes for answers. But she just turned away.
Than out of nowhere a voice cried. "Who is my FATHER? I need to know I have a right to know." Everyone turned to look at Nicholas.
But Bobbie turned him towards her she cupped his face in her hands and spoke to him as if he were her own. "Nicholas whoever turns out to be your father, You are the same. You are Prince Nicholas."
"But I am not the Prince. It was all a lie."
"No not all of it. You are still and always will be MY Prince. My Nicholas. The same Nicholas I have loved since I first laid eyes on you."
He looked at her for a moment and knew she meant what she said. Than he turned to Stavros, "If you never slept with her. Than tell me who is it. Which one is my father? If I am not your son than tell me, Am I your nephew or your brother? I have a right to know."
Stavros walked over to Nicholas and began, "I agree you have a right to know. I was not sure at first. If I had to guess by looking at you I would have said you were my brother, but after I had some test done I now know you are my nephew. You are my brothers' son. Nicholas I never meant you any harm. I kept secret when you were a baby to keep you safe. I let the world believe I rapped and beat your mother, to keep YOU safe from mine. She is no longer in a position where she can do you harm. And I will destroy her if she tries. I am sorry."
"For what? Being the only person who has the decency to be honest with me?" With that Nicholas stepped away from the group to catch his breath.
"Are you finished brother? Have you destroyed enough lives tonight?" Stefan accused.
"HOW DARE YOU. I have done nothing but speak the truth. It is You! You, Laura, and Helena who are the ONLY ones responsible for the lies you told. And I WILL NOT be held accountable for your actions." Stavros roared back. "And to answer your question brother, I am not finished. When I am finished you will know." With that Stavros walked straight for his next target. "Tell me Spencer, who is it you were trying to keep me from the night you threw me down the stairs?"
Luke did not answer he just glared at Stavros with a hatred that emitted throughout the room.
"It could not have been your wife. I had no use for her when we were married I certainly would not come to Port Charles to claim her after she left the island. After she left Nicholas alone and unprotected."
"Stefan was protecting him." Laura spat back.
But Stavros did not even turn to acknowledge her. "No you lied to Laura to all the fine people of Port Charles you allowed them to believe that I came here to rape your wife, your soul. All the while knowing I only came here to find my own soul."
"You leave her the Hell out of this. She has Nothing to do with this. I will KILL you before I let you anywhere near her again." Luke raged.
"Let me near her? Before you will let me near her?" Stavros laughed "You did not let me near her. My family paid you more money than you had ever seen in your pathetic life to send her to my island. And you ever the hero of Port Charles gladly and greedily accepted it." And for the first time since Stavros arrived on Spoon Island, the rage in him was openly visible.
The room was silent the only sound that could be heard was the rain as it pounded on the roof of the barn that was transformed into a ballroom. With the exception of Stavros and Luke everyone in the room was confused. "What and who are they talking about? After Stavros' declarations of the truth they can't be talking about Laura." Was running through several minds.
Stavros continued on growing angrier as each moment passed. "She trusted you. She believed in you. You made her promise after promise of a better life. A life without violence, a life without fear. You made her believe if she ran away with you the pain would stop. You made her believe she would be safe." He was so angry he had to stop and try to remember to breath. He had waited for this day since the moment he laid eyes on her. This single moment to confront and destroy the man who would not only allow her to be put in such a position but to accept money from it.
"She was but a child, a baby when you threw her into a life of hell. But you didn't care, did you? As long as the money was rolling in, it didn't matter what damage was done to her physically or mentally. When she was sent to my families island how many years had it been Spencer? Because she was no longer a baby, but a young beautiful girl. Almost a woman. And when I sent my man to you to give you money to make sure she was safe to make sure she was never touched inappropriately again. What did you do? You said it wasn't enough. Thousands and thousands of dollars was not enough. But I bowed and I sent more. Yet each time I saw her she was wearing rags. The only clothes she ever wore that were not torn and old where the ones I purchased when she was with me."
Bobbie was as pale as the white ball gown she was wearing. Several sets of eyes were focused on her wondering, knowing she was the mystery player in this equation. Now it was Nicholas' turn to slip his hand into hers and whisper. "Let's go nothing good can come from this."
But she barely heard a word he said. She was solely focused on Stavros. She watched his mouth move, His eyes rage with fire, every breath he took hypnotized her. She was frozen. She was not going anywhere.
Stavros wanted to grab her shield her love her, but he knew he had to finish what he started if he did not finish it now it would never be over. They would never be free. With that he went on "And what of my child Spencer? When I found out the turmoil my family was in. When I realized if I dare to take Bobbie and our child and run when I had originally planned both Stefan and Natasha would be sacrificed. What did I do?" Stavros paused.
"What no answer? You have nothing to say? I did not send my men to you again I came to you MYSELF. I gave you even more money, and I took your word that both she and my child would be cared for until I could come for them. But that never happened. And that I blame myself for. I was a fool to take the word of a man who would pimp out a 12-year-old child. The child he promised his mother on her deathbed he would protect. His own sister. And it was my child who suffered."
She couldn't take anymore she heard enough if she didn't leave now she would surely drown and with that she pulled her hand from Nicholas' pushed her way through the crowd and ran with everything she had, she ran. She barely noticed the storm surrounding her. The rain pouring down on top of her. She ran and ran until she felt herself being snatched up from behind by two very powerful arms. When she turned around to see who was holding her back she saw his face a face she saw so many times in her dreams.
"What the hell do you want?" Carly screamed as she threw the door open.
"Let me in. Let's talk about this. How did you get out? Why did you take Michael and come here?" Jason begged for answers.
"Well let's see where should we start, My family got me out. My family and Michael's family, Michaels real family, While you were dancing at the ball with your precious Robin MY FAMILY got me out." "You knew she new before you were committed." Carly what the Hell is going on." Jason started to raise his voice and as he did he noticed two large men step toward him. He settled himself, and continued, "Carly you are my best friend. I can't fix what is wrong between us if you won't talk to me. I mean really talk to me."
